I’m back from Tasmania

I’m finally back in Melbourne! Although I really love traveling, it can be everything but relaxing, which my recent around Australia trip is the epitome of. I took a total of 5 planes, drove across Tasmania nonstop for over 8 hours and climbed mountains so high I thought I was going to die. The views were so serene it made me forget for a moment the pain in my thighs and the razor sharp wind cutting across my cheeks. I had my first scuba dive in Cairns as I mentioned in my last post. I saw a wombat in the wilderness for the first time (and at 4pm too) and met plenty of lovely people along the way.

I had a great time, but I’m glad I’m finally back. I can’t wait to share all my adventures and photos with you but it will take some time for me to sift through over 3000 photos.

For now, here’s a sneak peak at what I got up to in each city. You may have seen some of these already if you follow my Instagram. I will be back to regular blogging from now on so come back for recipes, reviews and travel stories!

Fantastic scenery – I’m so jealous! What a trip it must have been. That shot with the blue lake is especially lovely. Looks so peaceful! I know how you must feel though. Even short international trips leave me longing to sit down on a familiar couch with a big cup of coffee :D

Thanks Charles. :D It was a lovely trip indeed, although quite tiring too. The photos really don’t do the scenery justice! I need a wider angle lens to take it all in. :P

I love the looks of the place, to me that is a big plate of seafood platter.

Thank you so much for visiting A Light Perspective. I used to live in New Zealand and loved travelling to Australia. Looks like you’ve had an amazing holiday.

Wow, such beautiful photos… :) I have to thank you – being so far away, watching them is the only way I’ll be travelling there soon. :)

    Dear Jenny,

Cradle Mountain, Wineglass Bay and Tassie as a whole are truly amazing places and I just have so many fond memories of our 2 week drive all over this wonderful island.
